How to read the Bible
Many people ask how they should approach reading the Bible. A reasonable question, considering it is actually made up of 66 individual books, but together making one cohesive story of God’s love for those He created.
Some people start at the beginning of the Old Testament and read through, while other people start with the New Testament which focusses on Jesus and how He fulfilled his mission to reconcile all people to God.

There are a number of topical indexes to point the reader to what the Bible says about various topics, problems and life situations. Bible verses in times of need
We want to make sure that when people turn to the Bible for help, they can easily find the guidance they need.
At the front of all Gideon-placed Bibles is a section called Bible Helps, which informs readers where to find verses on meaningful topics. We are contacted regularly by people who have found the Bible Helps to be very valuable in their journey. These verses can be found in any Bible by using its contents page(s).
